Be Bluesed Festival – Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket or attending the Be Bluesed Festival, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure a respectful, safe, and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

🌈 Creating a Safe and Welcoming Environment

We believe that music and dance bring people together—and we want every person to feel safe, welcome, and respected at Be Bluesed Festival.

  • We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind—this includes behaviour based on sex, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal trait.
  • This standard of respectful behaviour applies to interactions with other participants, staff, and volunteers.
  • Keep your dancing joyful and safe for everyone. If someone’s behaviour on the dance floor makes others uncomfortable or unsafe, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the event.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or revoke access to the festival if someone’s behaviour goes against these values. In these cases, tickets will not be refunded.
  • We may also turn down registrations from individuals whose past behaviour doesn’t align with our community standards

💃 At the Venues

To help everyone enjoy the festival to the fullest, please follow these simple guidelines:

  • No smoking inside the venues.
  • Please wear dance shoes, socks, or clean-soled shoes on the social dance floors—let’s keep them clean and safe for spinning!
  • Treat our beautiful venues with care. Leave things the way you’d love to find them.
  • Keep an eye on your belongings. Our events are public, and we don’t have a wardrobe. While we hope nothing goes missing, we can’t take responsibility for lost or stolen items.

🎟️ Tickets & Refund Policy

We’re so happy you’re joining us—but we understand that sometimes plans change.

  • Unforunately our tickets are non-refundable.
  • If you can’t make it, please email us at be.bluesed.festival@gmail.com. If there’s a waiting list, we’ll do our best to help you pass your ticket on.
  • You can also transfer your ticket to a friend. Just email us at least 3 days before the event with:
    • Your name
    • Type of the ticket you purchased
    • Name of the person receiving the ticket
    • Their email address

If We Have to Cancel

While we truly hope nothing interrupts our festival, sometimes things happen beyond our control.

  • If we do have to cancel the event, all tickets will be refunded in full—minus an optional 10% to help us cover unavoidable expenses.
  • We can’t be responsible for any other costs (like travel or accommodation).

🩹 Health, Safety & Responsibility

We want you to feel great during and after the festival—take care of yourself and others!

  • Participation is at your own risk, and we can’t take responsibility for injuries or health issues during the event.
  • Please also be mindful of others and your surroundings. If you accidentally cause damage to a venue, item, or person, you may be responsible for covering the cost.

🔄 Changes Happen

Life is full of surprises, and sometimes our schedule has to adapt.

  • We may need to make changes to classes, workshops, teachers, or venues without notice.

📸 Photos & Video

We love capturing the joy and magic of Be Bluesed Festival!

  • By joining the event, you agree that you might appear in photos or videos used to promote the festival or by our lovely photographers.
  • If that makes you uncomfortable, please let us know by emailing be.bluesed.festival@gmail.com.
  • All recorded media remains the property of Be Bluesed Festival and the photographer who retain full rights to their use.
  • Please note: we’re not responsible for how third parties might use these images without our permission.

 Code of Conduct

We want our festival to be a joyful, respectful, and safe space for everyone. By attending, you agree to help foster a community based on care, awareness, and mutual respect.

💬 Communication & Consent

  • Everyone experiences boundaries differently — it’s always better to ask rather than assume.
  • Consent is essential, especially for moves like dips or close embrace. Ask first and respect the answer.
  • It’s okay to say no to a dance. Respect when others decline, and be kind and clear when you do the same.

🛑  Harassment-Free Environment

  • We have zero tolerance for harassment, including unwanted physical contact or verbal insults.
  • If your boundaries are crossed, if something happens, or even if something just feels off, please speak to the care team, a teacher, or an organizer.
  • We are committed to addressing any behavior that goes against this code. Organizers reserve the right to take any necessary action — including temporary or permanent removal from the event.

🌱 Take care of yourself and others

  • Be mindful of those around you. Keep your dancing social-floor-friendly.
  • If you accidentally touch someone in a sensitive area, apologize and move on with care.
  • Let your partner know if something hurts or if you’re injured, so they can adjust and you both stay safe.
  • Help make the experience comfortable for everyone: maintain good hygiene. Clean clothes, fresh breath, a quick shower if needed.
  • Hydrate and eat! Dancing runs better with fuel.
